Author's Note
I couldn’t help myself! This story was too funny for me to pass up! When I was eight years old and first thing in the morning, I came to my younger sister’s bed and whispered right in her face. She gawked and pushed at my head, saying in disgust, “Oh! Your breath smells like poo!” From then on my sisters dubbed me Smaug (after the dragon in J.R.R. Tokien’s book “The Hobbit“). These incidents spawned Curse of the Dragon's Breath.
If I say too much more about the story, I'll spoil the punchline. I think both parents and children will get a kick out of the tale. The parents will like it for the veiled analogy I make of our economy. The kids will like it for the bathroom humor. And since this story is about bad breath, I give facts about why we really have bad breath and some buy clomid internet dental hygiene tips. What a better way to get kids to brush than to make them laugh with a fantasy tale?
Parents: Here's one tip that may cost a little bit of money up front, but will save you hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in dental bills. Get an electric toothbrush for you and your family. Three dentists have told me they're 300 times (yes…that's right three-hundred times) better than a regular tooth brush. Why? The main reason is most people don't properly brush their teeth with a manual toothbrush. Effective brushing requires circular strokes on the tops and sides of the teeth as well as along the gumline AND doing it for a minimum of two minutes. Due to the high vibration and rotation of an electric toothbrush head–not to mention the novetly of using one–an average back-and-forth brusher drastically increases the quality of their brushing time.
I don't floss as often as I should (who does, right). Maybe three times a month? I've been using an electric toothbrush since 2006 and every time I visit the dentist, the dental hygienist says, “You don't floss? You're teeth are in great shape for someone who doesn't floss.” I kid you not! Go get one! This is the one I use and I highly recommend it: Philips Sonicare Essence Power Toothbrush
