Monday's Halloween Drink – Liquefied Ghost Cocktail
The drink itself (pictured left) looks yummy in a milkshake kind of way and, as you'll see from the ingredients, it does indeed build a bit of tasty anticipation. At least it did for me. Of course, I couldn't help giggling at the morbid thought of a ghost being put through a blender to summon the beverage. Well…giggling a little nervously, perhaps…not out of ghoulish delight. By the way, the recipes this week are courtesy of HGTV. And you thought they were all about decorating houses and home improvement, huh? Seems they have a party-side to their site.
Liquefied Ghost Cocktail
Ingredients:
2 oz. vodka
1 oz. vanilla simple syrup (don't forget to add some vanilla)
1 oz. cream
2 oz. soda (I think this means club soda)
Preparation:
Mix vanilla simple syrup, cream, vodka and soda together in a cocktail shaker, then serve in a chilled martini glass. By the way, an easy way to chill a glass is fill it with ice while you prepare the ingredients for the drink. When you're drink is prepared, pour the ice back into a bowl or your ice bucket in the freezer when finished…or use the ice elsewhere (I don't encourage wasting the ice) and now your glass is chilled and ready for your cocktail!
I hope you enjoyed the recipe for today! Check back tomorrow when I'll post another drink recipe AND you can earn more chances to win!
Post Your Own Experience!
I'll try to see if I can make some of these this week and post pictures on Pinterest! If you try out any, please post your comments on your experience here and leave any links where you posted pictures – Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc!!
That's my two pence…
